Recognizing Our Volunteers

In honour of National Volunteer Week (April 23 – 29) the library would like to take this opportunity to publicly recognize the dedicated efforts of the many volunteers who help ensure that our high quality programs, services and collections are made possible. Through their tireless commitment, these individuals not only contribute to the library’s mandate, but also to the Bradford community.

Dynamic, entertaining and informative programs and services are made possible through the dedicated fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Library, who organize such major events as their semi-annual book sales and author visits. A host of other volunteers dedicate their time and energy assisting with programs and other library-related tasks such as Drop-in LEGO, Family Saturdays and the provision of our Homebound Library Service. Others help contribute to the development of our Local History Collections and ensure important information is preserved and available for future generations of researchers. Thanks to our teen volunteers who assist with a number of children’s activities, as well as being part of the Teen Advisory Group.

We thank each and every individual who helps make your public library a dynamic, welcoming, and integral part of the Bradford West Gwillimbury community.
