British Home Children

Join author Lori Oschefski tomorrow evening for a talk about British Home Children.

Wednesday May 31 at 7:00 pm the Zima room.

Between 1869 and 1949, Over 100,000 children were shipped to Canada from the United Kingdom to be used as a source of cheap labour. Join author Lori Oschefski to learn about the British Home Children migration program and the valuable contributions these children made to our Country.

Artifacts and photographs from the British Home Children Advocacy & Research Association will be on display at the Library from May 10 to June 2, 2017.
