Calling creative and film-savvy teens! A chance to show off your film making and animation skills!
Create a short video promoting a favourite book for teens for a chance to be featured on the library website, and at the April 11th awards screening (and some Tim Hortons gift cards).
The First BWG (Public) Library Teen Booktrailer Contest is seeking entries for short 1-2 minute films about a book for teens.
Open to teens ages 13-18 who live or attend school in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
What’s a booktrailer?
Just like a movie trailer… but about a book! Here is an example by Isabella from the Teen video contest by our friends at the Ottawa Public Library:
There are lots of other examples on YouTube, just search for “book trailer.”
How to enter
Fill out the form (link below) with all participants, up to 4 teens per team. Your entry must be submitted before 11:59pm on March 30th.
Judging and criteria
We will be looking at originality, production (quality of video and audio), promotion success (we want to read the book after viewing your trailer!). See criteria form for all the details below.
3, $20.00 Tim Hortons gift card will be awarded to the winning teen or teams.
Award winners to be featured on the library website, and shown at the awards screening along with up to 10 honourable mentions!
