Homebound Service

The Library offers Homebound service to borrowers who are unable to come to the library due to infirmity or disability. A Library volunteer will deliver and pick up library material every four to six weeks, free of charge.

This service is offered to residents of Bradford West Gwillimbury who have no other means of picking up and returning library materials, and no friends or relatives available to deliver materials for them.

Library staff will select materials for you, based on your preferences and requests. Books in regular and large print, movies and books on cd are all available to borrow.

Homebound patrons enjoy extended loan periods, with no fines.

If you have a friend or family member who picks up Library materials for you, we can help by assisting in selection, and keeping track of what you’ve borrowed.

Here is a link to the Homebound Service Policy, in pdf form. Page 1 of the policy explains how the service works.
