e-books and e-audiobooks are available through two suppliers. Check our catalogue or either site below.

The Pulse collection from Overdrive focuses on new and popular fiction. Pulse also has mobile apps for Android, Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7. The new Kobo Vox and other tablets also use the Overdrive Media Console app for access to library eBooks.
Check out these new user guides for Kobo and the Sony Reader and mobile devices.

NetLibrary has changed over to eBooks on EBSCOhost as of July 20th. Users will need to visit the library to set up a new account for this service. For help with this and to view tutorials visit EBSCOhost support page or ask a librarian.

Mac users will need to download the Shubert|it plug in to view eBooks using the online tool.

A home computer is required to access eBooks and transfer to mobile eReader devices from either eBooks on EBSCOhost or Pulse. To get your computer ready, you first need to download Adobe Digital Editions. See the help menus within either of these servies for help and set up instructions. Library computers are not suitable for this because of the Digital Rights Management (DRM) that allows the library to lend eBooks rather than just giving away the digital files. eBooks from these suppliers work like physical books in that only one user can have a book checked out at a time. But like library books, you can place a hold on something that is checked out. Just provide your email to get a notification when the book is available.
