Interlibrary Loan
Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library belongs
to a resource sharing network that allows for the exchange of
items. If our library does not own the item you need, we may borrow
it from another library or institution located outside Bradford
West Gwillimbury. Both the Ontario Archives and the National Archives
of Canada participate in the interlibrary loan service.
Interlibrary loan request terms and conditions:
- This service is free to all Bradford West Gwillimbury
Public Library users with a valid library card.
- Patrons must register for this service
by coming to the Library and receiving a unique password
for Interlibrary loan before using the service.
- Patrons must check our library database to ensure that
we do NOT own the requested title before making an interlibrary
loan request.
- Items that may not be borrowed include reference items,
text books, or current bestsellers. If the material
was published in the last 6 months, it might not be available.
- Many libraries do not loan videos,
DVDs, CDs, or audio books.
- Overdue charges for loans are 50cents a day per item,
excluding Sundays and holidays.
- One-week renewals should be requested 3 - 5 days before
the due date.
- Patrons will be notified of any interlibrary loan charges
from the lending institution - patrons will then have
the option to pay the fees or cancel the request.
- Patrons will be informed by email or phone when their
item(s) have arrived.
- Interlibrary loan items can take a couple of weeks to
a couple of months to arrive.
